Hey girls heyyyyy
Hi, I’m Alesha … criminal defense attorney by day & Productivity & Accountability Coach currently going through re-defining how I do what I do. I want to show others that they are important and self care can be a big part of that but they often overcomplicate productivity of “having time”
My favorite way to recharge is a good workout and a walk … Of, playing puzzle games on my phone and reading.
One thing I’m working on in my self-care journey is understanding if I’m really doing self care of if I just have habits that support me, which may or may not be self care & this is why I joined.

Hey Alesha. Welcome to the community. I love your last statement.
I like to see self care as anything you do to intentionally take care of yourself when you check in with your needs.
Take a shower for example. I don’t think taking a shower is inherently self care. Yet if you choose to, stay in the shower an extra 15 minutes, light a candle, and play lofi chill music because you’re super stressed and need a moment to decompress, then that counts as self care.
Same goes with your habits that you have in place. Although your habits are supporting you, if they are not an intentional act you are doing to take care of yourself, some days they could be, then I wouldn’t consider it self care.
Does this make sense?
